Dr. Stop has just released version 2 of his payware 1600x1200 Block 52 F-16 cockpit for Falcon 4. This new version sports a more worn look as opposed to the crisp ‘new’ cockpit in version 1. It also has detailed renders, a new floodlit NVG panelset and Speedpack for BMS2.0 integrated. I has both a wide-view and normal view and works with both FreeFalcon 3 and SP4 installs. It is also compatible with the pilot mod, also from Stopworks, and thanks to the cockpit resizer in BMS, it is also works in 1280x960 and 1024x768. Straight from the forums at Frugals World of Simulations, Sphynx has announced work has began on a new European Theater for Falcon 4.0.
I'm proud to announce the new Europe-Theater. This theater is supposed to be more than an auto-tiling experiment like the old one was. The goal is to create an high-quality theater, similar to MadDogs Angolan Theater, to simulate the ultimate battlefield - central Europe. But of course this won't happen without your help. A few guys are already working there. Register to the forum (It's FREE!! ) and try to help whereever you can. We need people to create 3d objects, texture-map 3d objects, making skins, have expertise in creating a theater in general. The theater is currently at a very early stage, the terrain is beeing worked on, first models and skins. We still need a lot of information. Questions are answered in the Europe Theater Forum.
Hot on the heels of the first announcement on SimHQ on Monday, the official site of the new flightsim Wings over Vietnam was launched. As suspected, it is developed by the developer of European Air War and Project One: Strike Fighters. It will feature, among other things, 12 flyable aircraft, carrier and land-based operations, campaigns as USAF, Us Navy or USMC pilot and the Vietnam theater of operations.
The feature list can be found at the official site

SimHQ has posted screenshots of a new product by Destineer Studios. The product, wich is currently in beta-stage, features carrier operations in the Vietnam era. Details are unknown at the moment, but the screenshots seem to suggest the product may be based on Strike Fighters: Project One code. This is merely speculation at this time however. We will keep you updated as more information becomes available. To see the screenshots, head over to

The 11th European Computer Flight Simulation Show is to be held at the Renewal Conference Centre, Solihull, United Kingdom
Last year, following the disasterous fire at the Motor Cycle Museum in 2003 the show had to move at short notice ( less than two weeks ) to the Birminham Hilton Metropole at the National Exhibition Centre. This turned out to be a very successful move with a full complement of both exhibitors and visitors who all enjoyed the day. This year, the Motor Cycle Museums' exhibition halls are still being rebuilt. We have found a very suitable replacement in the form of the Renewal Centre. This location addresses some issues of previous years.
The Renewal Centre is located only 3 miles from the NEC railway station and Birmingham International Airport. The Renewal Centre has adequate space for exhibitors in the main International Hall and the Alpha presentation hall. It has good car parking plus additional overspill parking. The date set for the show is Saturday 27th November 2004 and it runs from 10am to 5pm. Many exhibitors have already booked and a fascinating and enjoyable day is expected. The show will feature a number of companies who will be pleased to showcase their latest new products. At least 3 full sized home built cockpits will be show ,737,747 and Airbus and one company will demonstrate their latest scenery product on an enormouse parabolic screen. Enthusiastic air combat players will be able to fly head to head in team play on a 16 place LAN. Visitors will get the chance to listen and question experts in the Seminar room, see the most modern and powerful PCs in action and will get the opportunity to try and buy the latest and greatest in flight sim controls and software. The cost of entry is just £5 in advance and £6 at the door but children under 13 are free.

Valkiria announced today the release of a new EF2000 skin set made by Icehand:
Well, you already know; when I mention Icehands is because he has created a new set of skins for Falcon 4. To make the story short, this time I present to all of you the new skins for the Eurofighter 2000. You can find two spanish skins and one german in the package. This version is compatible with SP4+BMS only. I have in my disk the FF3 version, but I'm having some minor problems with my connection so I can not upload it to our site. I hope this problem will be solved by Monday afternoon (Argentina time); meanwhile, have fun with the BMS version.
